The Orpheum San Francisco was built in 1926, modeled in the style of an elaborate Spanish Cathedral. The venue has undergone a series of renovations in the years following and is now well-able to accommodate large-scale Broadway productions. Thesedays, the Orpheum is recognized as a San Francisco Historical Landmark.

The Orpheum schedule has attracted some of the biggest names in stage entertainment over the years; CATS, West Side Story and Wicked are just a few of the Broadway hits to have taken to the stage at the historic San Francisco venue. In 2007, Late Night with Conan O'Brien featured on The Orpheum schedule when the comedian/presenter filmed 5 episodes of the hugely popular show there.
