At the stroke of midnight on Saturday night, yell “Gung Hay Fat Choy!” to celebrate Chinese New Year 2013 with an old-school street firecracker celebration and lion dance at the self-proclaimed oldest bar in Chinatown on Saturday, February 9, 2013.
Red’s Place (on Jackson in between Kearny and Grant) will set off a 1,000+ foot strand of firecrackers right in the street around 7-8pm. Come early so you don’t miss out on the show. Afterward, come inside to drink and be merry.
