The Black and White Ball®
The Black & White Ball is the party of the year! Join us on Saturday, June 2, 2012, for an evening of music, food, and dancing in San Francisco's War Memorial Performing Arts Center and City Hall, benefitting the San Francisco Symphony's nationally acclaimed music education programs.
Start your unforgettable 2012 Black & White Ball with a concert featuring Grammy® award-winning recording artist Paul Simon and his band, for the first time, with the San Francisco Symphony in Davies Symphony Hall.
Then, continue the festivities by dancing at our six-decade dance party—10 bands on five stages located throughout the War Memorial Performing Arts Center and City Hall. Cyndi Lauper and The Wallflowers co-headline the Civic Center outdoor stage, and Janelle Monáe will appear as a special guest performer at the party where you'll enjoy the greatest hits from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and today! Performers include The Drifters, Brenna Whitaker and her Little Big Band, and Super Diamond.
Feast on sumptuous bites catered by McCall Associates, sip signature cocktails under the night sky, and get ready for the legendary midnight surprise—a Black & White Ball tradition!
This magical concert and party benefits the Symphony's music education programs, which serve over 75,000 students in our Bay Area elementary, middle, and high schools each year. Your ticket helps ensure this musical legacy for San Francisco's youth.
